JJ's Birthday party is planned for tomorrow afternoon. BBQ & cake. Lauren is making the cake, German Chocolate, and I'm sure it will be yummy. JJ's kids can't make it. I know he is disappointed but we will try to make it a fun one for him.
Haven't been out to the garden in a few days. All this rain is just drowning all the plants. We need several days (weeks) of sun! It is also getting chilly tonight so we have an extra lamp on the chicks to try to keep them warm. They seem happy though and not huddling up. They seem to be drinking a lot of water now. I see another water dispenser or a bigger one in our near future.
JJ started cleaning the pool out, getting it ready to swim in soon. We should be able to start swimming in a couple of weeks. It is still a little chilly right now.
Topper brought us a mouse today. Into the house. Alive. Thanks Topper but you can go ahead and kill the mice please...and leave them outside!
The goal for in the morning is some garden time if it is not too muddy. We really need to put the new plants and seeds into the ground. The Bogainvillias are so beautiful! I'm very pleased with that purchase and might go back and get more.
Gavin is spending the weekend with us. He and JJ are engrossed in Portal 2., on Playstation 2, video game. I'm happy it is one with a goal other than killing as many people as possible.
The animals are all snuggled in on this damp evening and I'm not far behind.
